about

Joe Higgs was a mentor for many young artists. He taught them how to sing and provided guidance about the recording industry. Many followed and learned his lessons and passed it on to the coming generations. 'You Hurt My Soul ' is one of his early recordings and features his distinctive singing style. Side B is a Merritone cut to the classic Reggae instrumental 'Bad Treatment '. The recordings were released in 1968 and are reissued from the original master tape.
